Jessica Leigh Farmer and Robert Julius Sherrill, Jr. were married on July 9, 2011 at 6:30 in the evening at The First Baptist Church in Spartanburg, S.C. The Reverend Seth Buckley performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Farmer of Spartanburg, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Sienkiewicz and Mr. and Mrs. James Farmer. She is a graduate of North Greenville University with a degree in Mathematics. She is currently teaching at Broome High School in Spartanburg, S.C.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Sherrill of Lincolnton. He is the grandson of Mr. Julius Sherrill and the late Mrs. True Sherrill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy â€œDocâ€ Hoyle. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Turfgrass Management. He is employed by the City of Charlotte as a project manager.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Ms. Ally Farmer as Maid ofÂ Honor; Matron of Honor was Mrs. Katie Hill. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Megan Bayliff, Mrs. Jeslyn Lanier, Mrs. Jessica Richey, Ms. Anna Sherrill, Mrs. Karla Simpson and Mrs. Leah Wilson. Honorary attendants were Ms. Neely Arrington, Mrs. Cassondra Leo, Mrs. Kim Nobles and Mrs. Annaleigh Skinner. The flower girl was Ms. Kaia Grace Lawter; ring bearer was Mr. Gage Vassar.
The best man was the groomâ€™s father, Mr. Bobby Sherrill. Groomsmen were Mr. Andrew Cather, Mr. Len Schronce, Mr. Matthew Specht, Mr. Jason Specht, Mr. Craig Queen, Mr. Joshua Tally and Mr. Zach Tally.
A special song was composed and performed by the brideâ€™s sister, Ms. Ally Farmer. Other music was provided by pianist/organist Teresa Holliday; vocalists Kristin Morris and Patrick Craig.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groomâ€™s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Sherrill, at Cleveland Park in Spartanburg, S.C.
A reception was hosted by the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. David Farmer, and was at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg, S.C.
A brunch was given by Mrs. Rhonda Lanford and Mrs. Baily Taylor, and a luncheon was given by Mrs. Deanna Stanley and Ms. Anna Sherrill. Other showers were given by family and friends of the groom and family and friends of the bride. There was also a dinner given for the bride by her friends at Isle of Palms, S.C.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Shelby, N.C.
