Faith Baptist Church in Iron Station will host its annual homecoming at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday with a performance by The Homeland Boys. The church will also hold a revival at 7 p.m. Oct. 3-5. Rev. J. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lincolnton is hosting a Family History Center Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct 22. The event will offer research tips, self-service microfilm ordering, city and state history and family history story telling, among other activities. Bess Chapel United Methodist Church in Cherryville will not have their second Sunday lunch this month due to the United Methodist Women’s breakfast on Oct. 15. Monthly lunches will resume in November.

Emanuel Reformed Church in Lincolnton is holding a special prayer service for Nelson Grant and his family at 7 p.m. on Oct. 6. Nelson was recently diagnosed with Esophageal cancer.
