VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
First United Methodist Church, Cherryville, will be having vacation bible school July 22 – 26 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Lift Off! Soaring to New Heights with God.” Call (704) 435-6732.

PLAY
Miracle Tabernacle Ministries will present Curtis Blake’s “A Man Sensitive to a Woman’s Needs: A Forbidden Love Story” on Saturday, August 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the James W. Warren Citizens Center. DOG DAYS OF SUMMER
Poplar Springs AME Zion Church, 1205 Buffalo Shoals Road, will be selling hot dogs and fish plates every Friday beginning July 13 through the end of August from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. All plates $5. Hot dogs $1 and fish sandwiches $3. Call (704) 735-0960.

YARD SALE
The Westside House of Prayer will host a community yard sale starting 7 a.m. Saturday. The sale extends three miles, from West Lincoln High School through Bethphage Church on Shoal Road. Hot dogs and lemonade will be available for purchase in addition to new and previously used items such as clothing and furniture.

REVIVAL MEETING
Fairview Baptist Church, 5084 Fairview Church Road will hold revival starting today through Friday. Services begin 7 p.m. There will also be special singing. Take N.C. 27 West to Flay Road, turn left onto Fairview Church Road.

CONCERT

YOUTH CAMP
Fairview Baptist Church, 5084 Fairview Church Road will host an overnight youth camp for youths ages 8 – 14, Camp runs Friday and Saturday, starting 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Events include bible study, crafts, fun activities. REVIVAL
Christ Missionary Outreach Ministry will be conducting Operation Clean-up Crusade Tent Revival takes place in Charlotte, W.T. Harris and Hickory Grove Road (beside Petro Gas Station). Dates will be July 29 – Aug 4. Revival hours will be:
Sunday: 3 p.m.
Mon. – Fri. 6:30 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m.
A rap gospel contest takes place Friday and Saturday, with the winning performer(s) getting a free, live recording session with Southern Boy Entertainment. Free food, clothes and other items distributed Saturday. Majority of items new. Call (704) 858-0105.

BEARD IN CONCERT
Adam Beard will be in concert at Salem Baptist Church on Sunday, July 22 at 6 p.m.

CAR WASH/PETTING ZOO
Poplar Springs A.M.E. Zion Church will sponsor a car wash at Town Square Ford on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Free hot dogs and drinks will be given away. There will be a petting zoo for children.

FREE CONCERT
Bucky Reynolds, a senior at West Lincoln High School and a country music singer will perform 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. outside Big Lots on North Aspen Street. Reynolds will be auditioning in August for American Idol.

TONY McEWEN AT MONTHLY MEETING
Tony McEwen, 10th District chairman for NC Democrats will be guest speaker Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Iredell County Library, Statesville 201 N Tradd St. Lincoln County is a part of the 10th District. Call Wayne Surratt (704) 871-2158.
