Surrender House appeal to artists to design a logo

Surrender House, a new transitional facility in Lincolnton for women in the early stages of substance abuse recovery, needs a logo. The organization is looking to the creativity of local visual artists for help. The logo will be used on brochures, correspondences, Web site and other forms of communication representing Surrender House in the community.
Artists considering this project may find the following information about Surrender House helpful. Women living at Surrender House will be respectfully guided to live a clean, sober and responsible life. Through social, vocational, and lifestyle experiences they will be encouraged and supported in discovering a new way of living.
Surrender House is based on the 12-step recovery model of treatment. We would like to see Surrender House grow into a major contributing factor for successful recovery throughout our area.
Surrender House is not affiliated with a specific religious or spiritual belief system, but we do offer opportunities to meet the challenges of spiritual development. Each woman will have the freedom to determine her own spiritual growth through the daily experiences we offer.
Surrender House uses therapy to encourage effective decision making skills and long term sobriety. Peer support is used in addition to individual counseling. Physical activities are part of the program.
Logos should be submitted in hard copy or on a CD by July 30. Submissions should be mailed to Linda Schaffer, Executive Director, Surrender House, P.O. Box 1992, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
