East Lincoln Relay for Life announces schedule

The following is a schedule of events for the upcoming East Lincoln Relay for Life scheduled Friday, April 7 – Saturday April 8 at East Lincoln High School.

Friday April 7
12-4 p.m.: Registration and camp set-up
5 p.m.: survivor check-in
5:30 p.m.: dinner for survivors
6 p.m.: performance by Rhonda Martin Dancers
6:30 p.m.: Country Choice
7 p.m.: Opening Ceremonies featuring the presenting of colors from Boy Scout Troop 83, the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem. Afterwards, the cancer survivors lab and the relay begins.
7:30 p.m.: More Country Choice with line dancing
8:15 p.m.: performance by Greatful Living, praise band from Lakeshore Presbyterian Church.
9:30 p.m.: Luminary Ceremony with a survivor testimony and a silent lap
10 p.m.: Classic rock performance by Double Take
Midnight-until: Performance from Christian rock group PS-147.

Saturday, April 8
7 a.m.: Rise and shine with DJ Darin Henley along with games and music
8 a.m.: Body bar class with Fit Dimension
9 a.m.: Musical performance from Elizabeth Mercado
10 a.m.: Celebration Ceremony with a balloon release to close 2006 East Lincoln Relay for Life.

Teams are available to win a $200 prize by giving their team a theme. They can also win $200 for having the most members present during the closing.
