North Lincoln tennis
North Lincoln downed Bandys 7-2 Monday as George Lampron, Daniel Paulk, Joe Fletcher and Jose Morales turned in singles wins.
In doubles, the Knights’ Lampron/Paulk, Jay Frushtick/Fletcher and Scott Frushtick/David Mosely all won for the Knights.
“I told them the first of the year that we may not be the most talented team on the court, but we would be in shape. This really paid off in doubles, because I think the Bandys kids played very hard but got a little leg-weary at the end,†North Lincoln head coach Gary Crouse said. “By me being a first-year coach, I didn’t know what to expect from my kids, but they showed a lot of guts in a couple of matches coming back from huge deficits to pull out a win,†he added.
