Softball tournament
Hooters of Gastonia/SSO Softball Tournaments will run a 3-game guarantee softball tournament Saturday, March 18 at Ferguson Park.

Lincoln Flight
The Lincoln Flight Girls Basketball Club, an 11-and-under- AAU team, is currently holding tryouts.
Players with advanced skills who were 11-year-old or younger on Dec. 31, 2005 are eligible.

Copperheads need to fill one roster spot
The Carolina Copperheads 10 and under tournament baseball team is currently recruiting one player to join their team for the 2006 season.
Players can’t turn 11 before May 1. Please contact Andy at (704)-530-7377 to schedule a workout with the team.

Bryan Adrian Basketball Camp
Registration is now being helf for the 24th Annual Bryan Adrian Spring Basketball League and the 28th Annual Bryan Adrian Summer Basketball Camp.
Boys and girls ages 5-18 are eligible.
The Spring League begins March 19 and will be held at East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte.
The summer basketball camp will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic School from June 12-16.
Camp staff included will be: J.J. Redick (Duke), Sheldon Williams (Duke), David Noel (UNC), Ilian Evtimov (NC State), Donald Williams and Jason Capel.

Lincolnton Optimist Baseball sign-ups
Baseball and softball sign-ups for kids ages 4-18 will take place at Lincolnton High School from 9-3 p.m. every Saturday.
Everyday (Monday-Friday), sign-ups will be held at Kate McCall (located at 317 E. Pine St.) will hold sign-ups from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Lifeguard training
The Lincoln County Family YMCA is offering a lifeguard training class beginning March 27 at 6 p.m.
The cost of the class is $140 for members and $160 for non-members (excludes an additional $20 program fee that is charged to non-members).
This fee includes: training, book, hand-outs, pocket mask and use of equipment.

Cheerleading Clinic
Lincolnton/Lincoln County Parks and Recreation is offering a cheerleading clinic Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, March 27, 28 and 29 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Block Smith Gym (Old Lincolnton High School Gym).
The clinic, open to boys and girls ages four and up, will focus on basic skill moves and stretches.
Cost is $20 and registration will be taken at the Lentz Recreation Center at Betty G. Ross Park through March 27.

Softball meeting
There will be an organizational meeting for men’s open and industrial softball on March 29 at the Lentz Recreation Center at Betty G. Ross Park.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Interested teams should have a representative at this meeting.
The entry fee, rule changes, homerun limits and preseason practices all will be addressed.

Spring Break Camp
Lincolnton/Lincoln County Parks and Recreation is offering a Spring Break Camp to be held April 17-21 for children K-sixth grade.
Campers will be involved in activities such educational fieldtrips, crafts, games and more.
Camp sites will be located at Betty G. Ross Park and the East Lincoln Community Center.

LHS Sports Boosters Golf Tournament
Lincolnton High School will have a sports boosters golf tournament on Apr. 21 at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Country Club.
The format will be 4-man captain’s choice and the cost to play is $40.
