Arlow named Chamber Ambassador of the Quarter

Cristina Arlow, owner of Translations Plus and Director of the Lincoln County Literacy Council, has been named by her Ambassador Committee member peers as the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador of the First Quarter of 2006.
Arlow has been active in the Chamber of Commerce over the past several years, having served in numerous capacities. She has served as:

· board member
· vice-chair on the executive board
· chairwoman of Leadership Lincoln
· chairwoman of the Annual Banquet committee
· member of the Staff Appreciation Day committee
· member of the Minority Outreach committee.

Arlow is also a past winner of the chamber’s New Member of the Year Award, and was also named as the Chamber’s Small Business Person of the Year in 2003.
Most recently, she was named to serve on the Small Business Council. Also, as a member of the Ambassadors’ Committee, she is vice-chair of the Grand Openings sub committee.
“Cristina can be seen at most Chamber functions, whether it is at a networking luncheon, seminar, business after hours or grand opening,” said Ken Kindley, chamber president. “On behalf of the chamber’s board of directors, I would like to commend Cristina for her involvement in the Chamber, which has made our community a better place in which to live and work,” commented Mr. Kindley.
