No county passes accepted for playoffs
For those interested in attending Lincolnton’s first-round 2A State Playoff game versus North Rowan, admission is $5 and no Lincoln County passes will be honored.
The only passes honored will be state-issued passes. That will be the case for any of Lincoln County’s teams in the state basketball playoffs.

Adrian L. Shuford YMCA Programs
The YMCA will take Church Softball registration from Feb. 6 – March 10. Cost per team is $480. A coaches meeting is scheduled for Tuesday March 14 at 6 p.m.

Bryan Adrian Basketball Camp
Registration is now being helf for the 24th Annual Bryan Adrian Spring Basketball League and the 28th Annual Bryan Adrian Summer Basketball Camp.
Boys and girls ages 5-18 are eligible.
The Spring League begins March 19 and will be held at East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte.
The summer basketball camp will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic School from June 12-16.
Camp staff included will be: J.J. Redick (Duke), Sheldon Williams (Duke), David Noel (UNC), Ilian Evtimov (NC State), Donald Williams and Jason Capel.

Lincolnton Optimist
Baseball sign-ups
Baseball and softball sign-ups for kids ages 4-18 will take place at Lincolnton High School from 9-3 p.m. every Saturday.
On Saturdays, Feb. 18 & 25, sign-ups will be conducted at Lincolnton Middle. On Feb. 11 & March 4, sign-ups will be held at Lincolnton Charter School.
Everyday Monday-Friday, Kate McCall (located at 317 E. Pine St.) will hold sign-ups from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Tumbling Class
Boys and girls ages 3-6 will improve balance by learning forward and backward rolls, various walks and head stands.
Three and four-year olds will meet on Tuesdays, while 5 & 6-year olds will meet on Thursdays in the Lincoln County Family YMCA’s aerobic room.
Classes will begin on Tuesday Feb. 14 and on Feb. 16 and will last from 4-5 p.m. both days.
Cost is $36 for YMCA members and $50 for non-members.

YMCA Youth Spring Soccer League
The Lincoln County Family YMCA is accepting registration for a Youth Soccer League that will help build your child’s soccer skills and knowledge of the game in a fan, nurturing environment.
Registration ends on Feb. 27. Children ages 3-12 are eligible. The cost is $30 for YMCA members and $45 for program members (non-members).

Special Olympics
Special Olympics of Lincoln County will have their annual Bowling Competition on Thursday, Feb. 23 at Pin Station in Newton.
More than 200 athletes from Lincoln County will participate in this event. Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:30 a.m.
