Fastenal now in Lincolnton

Fastenal Industrial and Construction Supplies announces it is opening a Lincolnton store in the Carolina Shopping Center. The store will occupy the 4,067 square-foot end cap space adjacent to East Main Street. The Carolina Shopping Center is now occupied by the following businesses: Country Town Tire and Service Center; Dollar General; Duke Power Payment Center; Holt’s Family Restaurant; PC Homes; Piedmont Companies’ corporate office; and Sewing Unlimited.
Fastenal was founded in 1967 in Winona, Minneosota by Bob Kierlin, who is now the company’s chairman. It has expanded to become the fastest growing full-line industrial distributor and is now the largest fastener distributor in the nation.
A service-oriented business network currently, Fastenal includes an in-house manufacturing division; a product quality assurance department; an engineering department; a strategic system of 12 distribution centers in the U.S.; a fleet of over 275 company-owned semi-trucks and trailers; and over 1500 store sites with locations in all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Singapore. Each store utilizes local inventory, outside sales staff, and on-site delivery vehicles.
“The Piedmont Companies is pleased to welcome this exciting company as the newest tenant of its Carolina Shopping Center,” said William L. “Willie” Heafner, president, in a recently-issued press release. “Lincolnton can look forward to another exciting announcement for the Carolina Shopping Center in the next 90 days.”

Currently, only one retail space remains available at the Shopping Center. For further information, please contact Lena Vaughn at (704) 736-4372 for leasing details.
