Rebels down Devils

West Lincoln (2-2) held on to beat Maiden 55-47 Thursday night at home.
The Rebels were up by 18 points with three and a half minutes to play. After both teams put in reserves, Maiden’s Logan Rogas hit two three pointers, while Justin Wilson and Jeremy England both hit one to cut the lead to seven.
Ben Poole scored a game-high 24 points, while Vantrel England led the Blue Devils with 19.
West Lincoln’s defense and Maiden’s inability to hit shots led to a three-point quarter, which turned out to be the difference-maker.
“It was a good team win. We did a good job of balancing the offense, found a way to get the ball inside which created opportunities for Poole and others,” Rebels’ head coach Chad Wright said.
