30 Year reunion

The Lincoln High School class of 1975 held their 30 year reunion Oct. 29 at the Lincoln Country Club. Fifty-three classmates plus spouses and guests atteneded. A particular highlight of the evening was when Cain Leonard had one-time students of T. Smith’s British literature class stand and recite Chaucer`s “Canterbury Tales” from memory. To everyone`s amazement, it seemed everyone remember the lines, then broke out in laughter. A more somber remembrance was a tribute to classmates no longer living. Women in attendance (top picture, back row) were Lisa Davis Bowne, Jama Brown Mulkey, Ronda Shrum Mullen, Lynn Lawing Black, Judy Johnson High, Melissa Blanton Henderson; and (front row) Jackie Sipe Spencer, Lou McLeod Midkiff, Cindy Drum Poovey, Fran Carter Nelson, Debi Abernethy Daniels. The men were (bottom picture, back row) Barry Hovis, David Black, Bob Thornburg, Tony Dellinger, Wayne Houser, Eddie Keever, George Gantt, Terry Armstrong; and (front row) Jimmie McGinnis, Scott Mullen, Cain Leonard, Mike Ledford, Carl Martin.
