Easley declares November as Home and hospice care month

Governor Easley has proclaimed November as Home and Hospice Care month.
This year’s theme is “All Roads Lead Home,” in honor of home care and hospice employees who are victims of Hurricane Katrina.
In honor of the occasion, the Lincoln County Home Health agency will hold an open house from 4 – 6 p.m on Nov. 29. Educational displays, free blood pressure screenings, door prizes, and light refreshments will be provided. Residents are invited to come meet the staff, advisory board and board of health members. Information will be available on home health services, memorials, living wills and health care powers of attorney.
Now celebrating its 34th year, the county’s home health agency, a division of the Lincoln County Health Department, is located in the Carolina Shopping Center near the intersection of East Main Street and N.C. 150/27 East in Lincolnton.
