Wolves playoff tickets on sale
Tickets to Lincolnton’s home playoff game versus Mount Heritage will be on sale Lincoln Athletics, Byrd’s Sundries, City Lunch and Lincolnton High School.
No passes that are not North Carolina High School Athletic Association passes will be honored—county passes fall under that category.

Knights playoff tickets on sale
Advance tickets for the Knights’ playoff game at Shelby Friday are now on sale at the high school for $6 apiece.
North Lincoln’s fall sports awards night will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 at the school.

Adrian L. Shuford YMCA sign-ups
The Adrian L. Shuford Jr. YMCA is taking registration for its youth basketball leagues. Ages 3-16, registration is currently underway and will end on Nov. 11.
If you register between Nov. 6-11 a $5 late fee will be added. Prices for 3-4 year olds: members: $40, non-members: $55. Ages 5 and up: members: $48, non-members: $68.
The Shuford YMCA is also taking registration for its youth soccer league. Kids ages 6-15 are eligible to participate in the co-ed league. The same registration stipulations (as above) apply. Cost is $25 for members and $35 for non-members.
Registration is also underway for adult basketball leagues, industrial and church. Cost per team is $240 plus official fees. Registration will go from Oct. 23-Nov. 30. For more information, contact Carlos Arias at 828-464-6130.

Lincoln Optimist Basketball
Sign-ups are underway for basketball through Nov. 26 for Lincoln Optimist Basketball.
On Saturdays from 10 a.m.-noon at Byrd’s Sundries is one location and another option is on weekdays at Kate McCall (located at 317 E. Pine Street) from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Boys and girls kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible. If you would like to sponsor or coach a team, contact Chris Brogden at 704-732-1987 before 9 p.m.

Meetings for men’s basketball
Lincolnton-Lincoln County Parks and Recreation Department will hold an organizational meeting for industrial and open men’s basketball leagues Tuesday Nov. 8 at the Lentz Recreation Center at Betty G. Ross Park.
Representatives for industrial and open teams will meet at 7 p.m. For more information, contact the recreation office at 704-735-2671.
