Katrina Fishing Shootouts
The Fishin’ Friends group opened a series of Friday Night “Katrina Shootouts†at the Midway Marina on Lake Norman last Friday.
Each tournament will be a stand alone event. No points system. No Fishoff. Just the same payoff as a regular season event. $40 per boat to enter includes big fish pot.
Anglers must have a 2005 membership in the Fishin’ Friends group.
The membership for new members is a one time $5 fee. Weigh Master Anthony Williams, Bob Patrick, and the Balls Creek Bassmasters crew will be there to insure professionally run events.
There will not be the normal $5 per boat set aside for a fish off but, $5 per boat will be set aside to donate to hurricane disaster relief.
The Ballscreek Bassmasters Club will also donate its’ share of the entry fee. It will be donated in a way that matching funds are added to the amount.
For sponsor donations to the effort or further information call Bob at 828-459-1119 or on his cell phone 828-234-6643.
