OPEN HOUSE

CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP
Christian Women’s fellowship will take place at Westport Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall on Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. The speaker will be Selina Pate from Christian Women’s Job Corps. ANNUAL MUSICFEST
Lake Norman Lutheran Church will hold its annual MusicFest on Sept. 10 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The theme this year focuses on a food and clothing drive for East Lincoln Christian Ministries. For more information call the church at (704) 483-2130.

COMMUNITY TENT REVIVAL
Mt. Anderson Baptist Church will hold a community tent revival Sept. 11 to Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. each night with Evangelist Bill Saye. On Sunday at 6 p.m. there will be an appearance by the Ruppes. The church is located at 4818 S N.C. 16.

EAST LINCOLN REPUBLICAN WOMEN
The East Lincoln Republican Women will hold a catered BBQ picnic, $6 per plate on Sept. 17 at the East Lincoln Community Center beginning at 5 p.m. Congressman Patrick McHenry will speak and answer questions from Denver residents. REGULAR EVENTS

The new Greek Orthodox Church will begin celebrating divine liturgy every Saturday at 5 p.m. beginning Aug. 20. Lake Norman Flotilla 17-8 of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary holds its monthly meeting the first Saturday of each month (no meeting in July or December). The meeting is held at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church on Perth Road, which is north of Highway 150.
Sessions open with coffee at 9 a.m., followed by the meeting, which is held from 9:15 – 10:30 a.m. Visitors 17 and over are welcome. For more information call Roy Smith at (704) 664-1933.
Cornelius Parks and Recreation offers Jazzercise year-round from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 6:15 – 7:15 p.m. on Monday & Wednesday; and 8:15 – 9 a.m. and 9:15 -10 a.m. on Saturday.
This dance exercise class offers a blend of jazz dance and exercise science set to a variety of music — top 40, jazz, country and classics.
