Sportstalk show
The PC Homes “Sportstalk” show on Saturday mornings with David Keever and Mike Powell is shifting its time slot. The show, broadcast on 1050 WLON and 1590 WCSL, will move from its original 8:30 time to 9:30AM.
The 90-minute weekly show will focus primarily on high school football in the upcoming weeks. “Sportstalk” is a live call-in show and welcomes phone calls from area coaches and fans. The studio line is 704-735-8071.
If things go as planned, the show could be broadcast live throughout the football season from various local restaurants.

Lincolnton sports passes on sale
Advanced tickets are for the Lincolnton/South Point are on sale at Lincoln Athletics and Byrd’s Sundries for $5 apiece.
Season tickets, which cost $20, will include five varsity and five JV football games.
A sports pass that will cover the 2005-2006 school year is on sale for $60 at Lincolnton High School and Lincoln-Athletics.

Seniors’ Bowling
The Fall bowling league for seniors will begin Thursday September 1 at 9 a.m.
Beginner bowlers and experienced bowlers are welcome.
The cost is $5.50 for three games. All bowlers must be at least 55 years old. Senior members of the community are encouraged to join the fun and fellowship.

NL Football Sign-ups
The North Lincoln Optimist Club is currently holding football sign-ups for kids ages 7-13 years old.
Registration will be held Monday-Friday from 6-8 p.m. at North Lincoln’s Football Stadium.

YMCA Soccer
The Lincoln County Family YMCA is accepting registration for its Fall Youth Soccer League through September 7th.
Boys and girls 5-12 are eligible with the cost being $35 and $55 for program members.
There will be one practice night per week and games on Saturdays.

Flag football
Lincolnton-Lincoln County Parks and Recreation is seeking teams interested in participating in a Fall Flag Football League.
Team registration has already started and there will be a meeting for team captains on Monday, September 12th at 6 p.m. at the Lentz Recreation Center.

Lincolnton Optimist sign-ups
Lincolnton Optimist will hold football and soccer sign-ups on Saturday from 9-11 a.m.
The location for these sign-ups is the Lincolnton Optimist ball field on Startown Road.

Rebels’ football
Fans are encouraged to park in the student parking lot next to Hwy. 27.
There will be no entrance on the other side of the school.
The cost of admittance is $5.

EL Middle softball
Practice for girls’ softball will begin Wednesday at 3 p.m. and will last until 5.
Prospective players will need a current physical, copy of last report card and softball equipment.

Adrian L. Shuford YMCA Leagues
The Adrian L. Shuford Jr. YMCA is accepting registration for Fall Church Co-Ed Volleyball.
Registration will last until August 31st.
