The 2005 Miss Lincoln County Apple Queen Scholarship Pageant takes center stage at the James W. Warren Citizens Center promptly at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Tickets are available at the door at 6 p.m.; there will be no advance ticket sales. Prices are $10 adults, $8 seniors (60 years-old and up) and $8 for children 12 and under.
Eleven contestants will by vying for the title this year and all are from Lincoln County.
This yearâ€™s pageant will have a patriotic theme and feature performances from local dance studios and local singer Ethel Garver. Making a special appearance will be Renee Griffith of Statesville, who will debut â€œMy All,â€ a song she has written and recorded.
