NL women’s tennis
Any young lady interested in playing tennis for the North Lincoln Lady Knights can pick up a hit-around schedule in the school’s main office.

Recreation programs
Lincolnton/Lincoln County Parks and Recreation is currently taken registration for the following Summer programs: summer playground program, tennis clinic, basketball camp, cheerleading clinics, fast-pitch softball clinics, youth soccer clinics and league, swimming lessons, guard start program and lifeguard training. Basketball clinic
First Baptist will hold a basketball camp June 27th-30th in the Family Life center.
The camp is for kids 1st-10th grade. Kids that are in 6th-10th grade will go from 9 a.m.-noon.
The younger group, grades 1-5, will go from 2-5 p.m.
Instructors are Franklin Lowery and David Johnson. The cost of the camp is $40.

EL Basketball Camp
The third week of the camp of Mustangs’ Basketball Camp will be July 11-14.
The first annual Lady Mustang Basketball Camp will be held June 27-30.
Any boy or girl that is in the rising third grade through the rising 10th grade is eligible to attend camp.
The boys’ sessions are divided in two groups with 7th-10th graders attending from 8:30 a.m.- noon and rising 3rd-6th graders attending from 1-4 p.m. daily.
The Lady Mustang Camp will run from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. daily.
Chip Ashley, who has instructed camps at Erskine College, Gardner-Webb, High Point and Winthrop University, will direct the camp.
“I’m excited about the Mustang Camps at East Lincoln High School. Our objectives are quite simple. We want campers to have fun and to improve their fundamentals in all aspects of basketball,” Ashley said.
The cost of the camps is $60 prior to the opening dates and $70 on June 20th, 27th or July 11th.
If interested, call East Lincoln High School and an application will be mailed to you.
Campers can come to two weeks of boys camp for a reduced fee of $110 if pre-registered or attend all three weeks for $150. There will be a $10 discount for families with two children enrolled.

Camp of Champions Basketball Camp
Dr. Andy Royals, senior pastor of Salem Baptist Church, will be directing the camp in July.
All Lincolnton area boys and girls third-sixth grade are encouraged to attend.
The boys camp will be held July 11-15, while the girls camp will run July 18-22. The location will be the New Life Baptist Church Family Life Center.
The cost for the camp is $75, which includes a t-shirt and certificate. The times will be 8 a.m.-noon, Monday through Friday.

River View Scramble
River View Baptist Church will host a 4-man Captain’s Choice Scramble Saturday, August 6th at Lincoln Country Club.
There will be a shotgun start of 2:30 p.m. with prizes and food to follow.
The deadline for registration is Friday, July 8th and will be limited to the first 40 players.
The registration fee is $30 and is payable upon registration. This includes green fees, golf cart and food after the tournament.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams, longest drive and closest to the pin.
