Pineville surged out to a 10-0 lead in the first two innings.
Post 455 rallied, scoring eight unanswered runs, before succumbing 18-8 Saturday night at Brookins’ Memorial Field.
Aaron Bray, an UNC-Charlotte signee, went 4-for-5 and pitched the final two innings in scoreless relief.
Pineville’s first baseman Ryan Morris also had a multi-hit game, going 4-for-6.
Brandan Jones led Denver with a 2-for-3 three-RBI performance. Alex Loftin went 2-for-5.
Will Fox hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning.

Friday
Charlotte Post 262 downed Denver 13-6 Friday night at Myer’s Park High School.
Post 262 scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth. Todd McNichol delivered the big hit, which was a two-RBI triple.
Colby Burgin went 4-for-5 to lead Post 455, while Brandan Jones went 3-for-5 at the plate. Burgin and Jones also had one RBI apiece.
Tyler Howard had a sacrifice-fly RBI in the seventh.
Lee Magee went 2-for-4 to lead Charlotte.
