Recreation programs
Lincolnton/Lincoln County Parks and Recreation is currently taken registration for the following Summer programs: Summer Playground Program, Tennis Clinic, Basketball Camp, Cheerleading Clinics, Fast-Pitch Softball Clinics, Youth Soccer Clinics and League, Swimming Lessons, Guard Start Program and Lifeguard Training. Basketball clinic
Bobby Jones and David Thompson will conduct a basketball clinic on Thursday, June 9th at the Lincolnton Campus of Lincoln Charter School.
The clinic will run from 9-11 a.m. and will cost $30. Limited space is available. For more information contact Dave Machado at 704-483-6611 or check out the website at www.2xsalt.org.

Western Golf
The Gaston-Lincoln Club willl hold its eighth-annual Western Club Tournament this Friday at Lincoln Country Club.
The start-time is 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. The tournament will be a modified captain’s choice.
There is an entry fee of $200 per team (four-person team).
If you’re interested in sponsoring a hole the cost is $50. You can become a corporate sponsor for a fee of $500.
Participants will have a chance to win door prizes, automobiles in a hole-in-one contest and cash.
In the past eight years, the club has awarded over $10,000 in scholarship money.

L-R Baseball Camp
Lenoir Rhyne Baseball Camp dates are as follows:
June 6-9, overall skills camp, $140, ages 9-12 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Includes lunch and T-shirt, June 6-9 half day camp, $70, ages 6-8 from 9 a.m.-noon, June 20-23 pitchers/catchers, $70, ages 9-18, 9 a.m.-noon, June 20-23, hitters camp, $70, ages 9-18 1-4 p.m.
Campers can attend both pitchers/catchers camp and hitting camp for $140, which includes lunch and T-shirt.

Greyhounds volleyball camp
The Carolina Greyhounds Volleyball Camp will be held at East Lincoln High School June 13-16 from 9-3 p.m.
The camp is open to rising sixth through rising ninth graders.

NL Football Camp
North Lincoln football will put on a camp June 16-18 from 9 a.m.- noon.
The camp is for athletes rising second graders-8th grade.
The cost of the camp is $50 if you register before June 16. If you wait until the day of, it’s $60.

Camp of Champions Basketball Camp
Dr. Andy Royals, senior pastor of Salem Baptist Church, will be directing the camp in July.
All Lincolnton area boys and girls third-sixth grade are encouraged to attend.
The boys camp will be held July 11-15, while the girls camp will run July 18-22. The location will be the New Life Baptist Church Family Life Center.
The cost for the camp is $75, which includes a t-shirt and certificate. The times will be 8 a.m.-noon, Monday through Friday.
