Hof Textiles Inc., a supplier to Toyota, Honda, BMW and Mercedes, will expand their industrial park facility in Lincolnton.
The $2,700,000 expansion at the Indian Creek Industrial Park will include more machinery and equipment.
The company will add a nonwoven production line.
â€œThe new expansion will allow us to produce materials that we currently import from Europe from our parent company,â€ said the companyâ€™s president, Gunther Hoffmann.
The nonwoven material will be used for hood and dash insulators in the engine compartment of vehicles.
The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners approved an incentive grant for the company which exceeds $38,000. The grant will be paid out over a five-year period.
Hof Textiles Inc. is a subsidiary of the eswegee Vliesstoff GmbH, a division of the Textilgruppe Hof, Germany.
The company employs over 1,600 people. The local facility employs over fifty individuals. The most recent expansion for the company was the 80,000 square foot warehouse facility.
