Beeker and others break school records

The West Lincoln Lady Rebels may have lost to East Rutherford’s track team last Wednesday, but they had plenty to celebrate.
Two West Lincoln school records were broken at the meet. The 800-meter relay team of Allison Goins, Molly Richard, April Norman and Kristin Beeker posted a time of 2:00.37 breaking the previous record set in 2002 of 2:00.53.
Beeker also broke the school mark for the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 18 seconds flat. The old mark was 18.06 set by Rici Goodhue in 2001.
“These ladies have worked hard and bring to the track team a lot of dedication and years of experience,” coach Tom Sain said.
The Rebels tallied 66 points besting Lincolnton (48 points) and Chase (35 points). East Rutherford won the meet with 103.5 points. by Staff Reports
