LHS Basketball game
Lincolnton High School will host a student/teacher basketball game on Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
The halftime entertainment will be a womanless beauty pageant performed by the students.
Admission will be $3 at the gate.

WL Optimist cheerleading tryouts
The West Lincoln Optimist Club will conduct cheerleading tryouts for girls and boys kindergarten-7th grade.
There will be a parents’ meeting Apr. 18, 7 p.m. at West Lincoln Middle School’s Gym. Tryouts will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. at the same location.

Tin Cup Classic
The Second Annual Tin Cup Classic Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Apr. 23 at the Pine Grove Golf Club in Shelby, N.C.
The tournament will be captains choice format with four-man teams.
There will be a $200 entry fee per team with lunch and refreshments included. First place awards include $400 and prizes, second place: $200 and prizes and third place $100 and prizes.
Closest to the hole will be awarded prizes on all par threes. To enter, please contact Tony Parker at 704-480-9233.

EL Golf Tourney
The East Lincoln Sports Boosters will hold a golf tournament on April 25, 2005 to benefit East Lincoln High School’s athletic facilities. The tournament will be held at the beautiful Cowan’s Ford Country Club, with a 12:30 shotgun start. It will be a four-person captain’s choice, limited to 36 teams. Many different sponsorships will be available for corporations including players’ packages and recognition around the course. Entry forms are available at the school and at Cowan’s Ford C.C. This is a unique opportunity to play a great course and help East Lincoln High School.

Catawba Valley Storm
The Catawba Valley Storm, out of Hickory, is looking for a couple of players and parents that have a strong commitment to team.
The Storm is invited to play at Cooperstown the week of June 24-July 1 and have already qualified for the USSSA World Series.
Players who are versatile in the field, have a strong bat and can pitch well will be a plus. The Storm is seeking to add to their roster immediately. Anyone interested in a tryout can call Coach Stamey at 828-312-5242 or 828-428-2796.

Camp of Champions Basketball Camp
Dr. Andy Royals, senior pastor of Salem Baptist Church, will be directing the camp in July.
All Lincolnton area boys and girls third-sixth grade are encouraged to attend.
The boys camp will be held July 11-15, while the girls camp will run July 18-22. The location will be the New Life Baptist Church Family Life Center.
The cost for the camp is $75, which includes a t-shirt and certificate. The times will be 8 a.m.-noon, Monday through Friday.
