Mustangs’ head coach Matt Neville felt the win came down to execution.
Mitchell pitched very well and Greyson came through under pressure. Offensively, we executed in situations very well,” he said.
With the victory, East Lincoln raises its record to 9-5 and 4-1 in the Big South 3A Conference, with the only loss coming to Ashbrook.
Friday they will play conference foe East Gaston.
“The last six games we’ve played, we’ve played well and we’re just hoping we can take that energy and momentum into East Gaston in hopes of staying on top of the conference,” Neville said.
