ESPN to feature Herbert
NHRA 2Day will air a feature regarding Doug Herbert and the Snap-on team`s newly formed friendship with Marines across the country this weekend.
In a way to give back, stemming from Herbert’s admiration for their duties, he has hosted more than 25 soldiers at the first three races combined and is set to have another group at next week`s O`Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park on April 9.
The feature will run Sunday, April 3 at 11:30 a.m. (ET) on ESPN2. So tune in and check out a great story on a great friendship.

East Lincoln socccer
On Monday, the Lady Mustangs dismantled Berry Academy 8-0.
Ali Fisher and Christina McClean turned in huge games, with each netting two goals and dishing one assist.
Jessica Glenn and Jennifer Redman had two assists apiece. Glenn also had a goal. Alex Haugen, Anna Cole and Kim Scercy each chipped in a goal. Erin Smith was credited with the shutout.
In a torrential downpour on Tuesday, the Lady Mustangs fell to Charlotte Catholic 4-0.
Play went back and forth in the first half. In the second half, with five minutes to go, Catholic hit a penalty kick off the cross bar and post. The somewhat flukish goal put them ahead 2-0.
The Lady Cougars’ goalie made three exceptional saves to keep East Lincoln scoreless. The game was called with 20 left due to the field turning into a virtual mud pit.

North Lincoln softball
The North Lincoln Knights defeated Crest 7-6 on Tuesday behind two homeruns by Jenna Torbert.
They lost to Ashbrook 10-3 on Wednesday, but only trailed 5-3 heading into the last inning. The Lady Knights will play again on Saturday. by John Mark Brooks
