Residents of east Lincoln can attend two public hearings on zoning at 6:30 p.m. April 4 at the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting.
The first public hearing is from applicant David Wulfhorst who is requesting to rezone a 0.24-acre parcel from residential single-family to conditional use neighborhood business in order to permit an office/storage building.
The property is located on the south side of Webbs Road about 600 feet west of Cindy Lane.
“The office is for a construction company, and it may raise some questions since Webbs Road is primarily all residential,†said Randy Hawkins, zoning administrator for Lincoln County.
Hawkins said the applicant had a building permit in 1992 to put it there but did not go through with it.
The second public hearing is from applicant Melvin D. Core who is requesting to rezone a 1.1 acre parcel from transitional residential and neighborhood business to general business.
The property is located on the east side of N.C. 16, 1,500 feet north of N.C. 73.
“This is to just get it all zoned the same,†Hawkins said.
The commissioners meet on the third floor of the James W. Warren Citizens Center, 115 W. Main Street. For more information on matters with zoning, contact the Department of Building and Land Development at 704-736-8440.
