Easter Baseball Tournament
The Easter Baseball Tournament, sponsored by Carolina Trust Bank, Lincoln Athletics and Pepsi, will be held on March 28th and 29th.
The first game of the tournament will be East versus West Lincoln at 5 p.m. Lincolnton will play North Lincoln at 7:30 p.m.
There will be a cheerleaders’ rollie-bat competition in between games.
The loser of the two games will play at 5 p.m. on Tuesday and the championship game will be played at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $4. One admission fee will allow spectators to watch both games. On Tuesday, in between the games there will be a coaches’ hitting competition.
On Monday, there will also be a free mini-camp for kids ages kindergarten-8th grade.
The elementary kids will take the field at 10:30 a.m. and will go until noon. The middle school kids’ session will last from noon-1:30 p.m..

Cheerleading Clinic
The Lincolnton/Lincoln Co. Parks and Recreation is offering a cheerleading clinic Tuesday and Thursday, March 29th and 31st from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The location will be at the Old Lincolnton High School Gym (Block Smith Gym). It will be open to boys and girls ages 4 & up and will focus on basic skill moves and stretches.
The cost of the clinic will be $15. Registration will be taken at the Lentz Recreation Center at Betty G. Ross Park through March 29th. Space is limited. For more information on the clinic, contact the recreation office at 704-735-2671.

Carolina Flight
The Carolina Flight Basketball Organization has some openings on the boys’ fifth grade nationally competitive team.

Tin Cup Classic
The Second Annual Tin Cup Classic Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Apr. 23 at the Pine Grove Golf Club in Shelby, N.C.
The tournament will be captains choice format with four-man teams.
There will be a $200 entry fee per team with lunch and refreshments included. First place awards include $400 and prizes, second place: $200 and prizes and third place $100 and prizes.

Catawba Valley Storm
The Catawba Valley Storm, out of Hickory, is looking for a couple of players and parents that have a strong commitment to team.
The Storm is invited to play at Cooperstown the week of June 24-July 1 and have already qualified for the USSSA World Series.
Players who are versatile in the field, have a strong bat and can pitch well will be a plus. The Storm is seeking to add to their roster immediately. Anyone interested in a tryout can call Coach Stamey at 828-312-5242 or 828-428-2796.

Camp of Champions Basketball Camp
Dr. Andy Royals, senior pastor of Salem Baptist Church, will be directing the camp in July.
All Lincolnton area boys and girls third-sixth grade are encouraged to attend.
The boys camp will be held July 11-15, while the girls camp will run July 18-22. The location will be the New Life Baptist Church Family Life Center.
The cost for the camp is $75, which includes a t-shirt and certificate. The times will be 8 a.m.-noon, Monday through Friday.

Bryan Adrian camp
Registration is now being held for the 23rd Annual Bryan Adrian Spring Basketball League and the 27th Annual Bryan Adrian Summer Basketball Camp.
Boys and Girls ages 5-18 are eligible.
The Spring League will being on March 19. Spring locations include East Mecklenburg High School and South Mecklenburg High.
The Summer basketball camp is held at Myers Park High School. The dates are June 13-18. Raymond Felton and Melvin Scott will be part of the camp’s staff. For a free brochure call 704-377-6387.
