On Saturday, March 19 the East Lincoln Speedway will host a practice session from noon to 4 p.m. for all divisions. Spectators will be admitted free of charge.
The speedway will open April 2 for the 16th consecutive season of weekly Saturday night racing.
This time there are many new attractions.
While there will be the late Model Modified-Sportsman, IMCA Open Wheel Modifieds, Stock 4s, Rookie 4s, Micro-Sprints and Road Hawgs, there will also be many family-oriented events.
Special attractions include:
Â· Family night with $20 admitting two adults and three children under $15, a $50 value, the first scheduled April 9
Â· A kids scratch with cash placed in a sawdust pile on April 23
Â· Bicycle races for the children with two free motorized scooters on April 30
Â· USAC sanctioned Ford Focus Midgets with no increased admission on May 14
Â· A demolition derby on May 21
Â· A 500 Ping-Pong ball drop with selected balls being redeemable for cash and prizes on June 4
Â· A train race on June 25 where three cars will be chained together. The winning train will receive $1,000.
Â· Christmas in July on July 16 with a visit from Santa Clause presenting gifts to all children
Â· Baseball Night on July 30 with uniformed youth league team members in uniform receiving free baseballs
The season calls for 24 weekly Saturday night programs.
