Mustangs split with Cardinals

The East Lincoln Mustangs fell to Berry Academy 58-54 Friday night.
Chris Logan led the Cardinals with 14 points, while Justin Arnette and Omar Carter both finished with 10.
Jamelle Lowery paced the Mustangs with 18 points, Carlos Marquez-Sykes added 11. Eight of Lowery’s came in the fourth quarter.
The Mustangs’ record is now 11-8, 4-6 in the Big South 3A. They will host North Gaston Tuesday night in a must-win as far as the 3A State Basketball Playoffs are concerned.

Women’s Varsity
The Lady Mustangs beat the Cardinals 62-50 earning their second BS 3A Conference win of the season.
Toree Roseboro and Krista Moore both had big nights combining for 38 points. Roseboro had 21, while Moore finished with 17 Alyson Kielar added nine in the win.
