Ten Star All-Star Basketball Camp
Applications are now being evaluated for the Ten Star All-Star Summer Basketball Camp.
Boys and girls ages 10-19 are eligible for application. Past participants include: Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Vince Carter, Jerry Stackhouse, Grant Hill and Antawn Jamison.
Players from 50 states and 17 foreign countries attended the 2004 camp. Colege basketball scholarships are possible for players selected to the all-american team.
Hickory, N.C. is a location for this prestigious camp, as well as Lebanon, Tn. For a free brochure call, 704-373-0873.

Daredevils’ tryouts
The Lincoln Daredevils tournament baseball team will be holding tryouts in
January to fill open positions. We participate in AAU and USSSA sanctioned tournaments at the state, regional, and national levels.
The Daredevils are looking for committed families who want a positive environment for their player. They participate at the highest level of baseball for this
age group and teach life lessons through this highly competitive environment.
The Daredevils finished the Fall 2004 season as the runner-up in the AAU Winter State Championship tournament.
Players cannot turn 10
before August 1, 2005 to be eligible for this team. Contact Andy Bass at 704-530-7377 to schedule a tryout.

Carolina Cougars
The Carolina Cougars’ basketball team is looking for girls ages 10-13 to play approximately 45 games from March-May.
There is no cost to play. Players can turn 13 after Jan. 1. For more information contact Buddy Robinson at 704-922-2922.

Cherryville Hall of Fame Ceremony
The 2005 Cherryville Sports Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 100 building located at 215 N. Pink St. in Cherryville.
Tickets cost $10 and are available at Bill’s Wholesale and Modern Printing in Cherryville and from sports hall of fame committee members.
Committee members are Bill Abernethy, Aaron Moss, Floyd Wright, Dennis Tate, Jerry Hudson, Skeet Brackett, Ronald Kiser, Howell Stroup and Todd Hagans.
The 2005 list of inductees includes deserving individuals who have contributed in some special way to the success of Cherryville sports. The inductees are the late Gary Adams, Frank Allen, Bob Austell, Bob Cash, Amy Dellinger, Nell Duncan, Danny and Judie Eaker, Julius Earwood, Tony Griggs and Ronald Whitaker.

Bryan Adrian camp
Registration is now being held for the 23rd Annual Bryan Adrian Spring Basketball League and the 27th Annual Bryan Adrian Summer Basketball Camp.
Boys and Girls ages 5-18 are eligible.
The Spring League will being on March 19. Spring locations include East Mecklenburg High School and South Mecklenburg High.
The Summer basketball camp is held at Myers Park High School. The dates are June 13-18. Raymond Felton and Melvin Scott will be part of the camp’s staff. For a free brochure call 704-377-6387.
