First Baptist Basketball League
First Baptist Church will be hosting a Men`s basketball church league. Games are set to begin on Monday January 10th. Games will be played on Mondays and Thursdays. If you need more information about the league or your church is interested in participating please call Eddie Andrews at (704) 732-1101. Sign up dead line is Tuesday, December 28.

Ten Star All-Star Basketball Camp
Applications are now being evaluated for the Ten Star All-Star Summer Basketball Camp.
Boys and girls ages 10-19 are eligible for application. Past participants include: Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Vince Carter, Jerry Stackhouse, Grant Hill and Antawn Jamison.
Players from 50 states and 17 foreign countries attended the 2004 camp. Colege basketball scholarships are possible for players selected to the all-american team.
Hickory, N.C. is a location for this prestigious camp, as well as Lebanon, Tn. For a free brochure call, 704-373-0873.

YMCA Basketball
The Adrian L. Shuford Jr. YMCA is now holding registration for men’s open/ industrial basketball. This will be open to the first 12 teams to sign up.
There is a $100 deposit required. Please contact Carlos Arias at 828-464-6130 or carlosa@ymcacv.org. The fee is $240 per team.
The season will be played Jan. 12-March 31.

Daredevils’ tryouts
The Lincoln Daredevils tournament baseball team will be holding tryouts in
January to fill open positions. We participate in AAU and USSSA sanctioned tournaments at the state, regional, and national levels.
The Daredevils are looking for committed families who want a positive environment for their player. They participate at the highest level of baseball for this
age group and teach life lessons through this highly competitive environment.
The Daredevils finished the Fall 2004 season as the runner-up in the AAU Winter State Championship tournament.
Players cannot turn 10
before August 1, 2005 to be eligible for this team. Contact Andy Bass at 704-530-7377 to schedule a tryout.

Racquetball tourney
The Lincolnton/Lincoln County Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Racquetball Tournament, Jan. 24-27 to be held at the W.M. Lentz Recreation Center.
The tournament will be singles only with a double elimination format. Cost is $15 per player.
There is a 10-player minimum for the tournament. Registration must be completed by Wednesday, Jan. 19. For more information, please contact the recreation office at 704-735-2671.
