The North Carolina Association for the Advancement of Health Education established the Linda Harrill Rudisill Lifetime Achievement Award at their 2004 convention.
Rudisill has contributed over 41 years to education. Now retired, she serves as a member of the Board of Managers at the Lincoln County Family YMCA. She is also very active in Gaston County.
The newly created award will go to people who have demonstrated life long achievement and dedication to health education. Recipients will be master teachers, advocates and innovators in the field of health education.
Rudisill has previously been recognized as an NCAAHE and Southern District Teacher of the Year. She has also contributed to writing National Health Education Standards and is an active member of the NCAAHE board. by Staff Reports
