Knights swept by Jaguars

The North Lincoln Knights were swept by the Forestview Jaguars on Friday night as both the men and women’s varsity basketball teams lost.
The men lost 83-56, as Will Farley scored 22 points and Benny Nutter scored 20 points to lead the Jaguars. Bingo Floyd complemented them with 12. Rod Mack contributed with 11, while Daniel Guffey scored 10.
The Knights were paced by Trishtan Johnson with 21 points. Kenny Bethea and Trey Whiteside scored 10 apiece in the losing cause.
The women fell 67-54 despite a strong effort from junior guard Alyssa Lowe who scored 23 points.
It was the fourth time Lowe has scored 20 points or more this season. After transferring from East Gaston, Lowe has made quite an impact on the Lady Knights; emerging as their leader and floor general.
Jesse Devine and Kayla Alexander both scored eight in the loss.
The Knights all to 1-8 on the season. Their female counterparts dip under .500 at 4-5. by Staff Reports
