The Lincoln County Health Department has set up flu clinics for the Denver and Vale areas.
Another portion of the flu vaccine has been made available for adults who fall within CDC guidelines and will be administered over the next two weeks.
The upcoming clinics will be held as follows:
Â· Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Caremor Pharmacy, Denver (across from Rock Springs Elementary School)
Â· Friday, Dec. 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Caremor Pharmacy, Denver
Â· Wednesday, Dec. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Messiah United Methodist Church, Vale
Â· Thursday, Dec. 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Messiah United Methodist Church, Vale
Qualifying recipients should meet the following criteria to receive the flu vaccine:
Â· Adults 65 and older
Â· Adults 18 to 65 who suffer from a chronic disease
Â· Women who are pregnant
Â· Healthcare worker involved in patient care
Participants will be asked to complete a chronic disease eligibility form when receiving the flu vaccine.
No appointment is needed for the flu clinics. Participants will receive a number upon arrival and the vaccine will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
A health department nurse will administer the shot to patients inside their vehicles if theyâ€™re not able to enter the facility.by Staff Reports
