The North Lincoln Knights recently held their second Fall sports banquet in the schoolâ€™s cafeteria.
The menâ€™s soccer team, in somewhat of an unusual happening, handed out three MVP awards. Brian Gentry, Jamie Burt and Jay Wiseman all were named Most Valuable Player. Most Improved went to Jeremy Grove.
For the JV football team, Peyton Brady was named MVP, while David Ward won Most Improved. Josh Mull was named Offensive Player of the Year, while teammates Isiah Matthews and Cody Peeler took the Defensive honors as Player of the Year.
The varsity football MVP was Trent Hopkins with Most Improved going to Lesharion Johnson. Casey Woodie was named Offensive Player of the Year. David Bora and Brian Funk both garnered Defensive Player of the Year honors.
In JV volleyball, McKenzie Harkey won MVP along with Chasity Morgan. The Team Before Self Award went to Samantha Kropski.
For the varsity Lady Knights, Jenny Boyle was named MVP. Kathryn Thorne won the Most Improved Award and Jesse Devine took home the Team Before Self Award.
In womenâ€™s golf, Brittany Mabe was awarded MVP. Haley Sumner was named Most Improved, while coach Nicole Sain gave her Coachesâ€™ Award to Megan Kellar.
For the Lady Knightsâ€™ tennis team, Jordan Kinney, who had an undefeated season, garnered the MVP Award, while Nataleigh Hitt was named Most Improved.
In JV Cheerleading, Sara Jolley was named Most Spirited. Alex Melton won Most Improved. For the varsity squad, Haley Barker was named Most Spirited, while Callie Burchem won Most Improved. Katie Zubko won the Senior Award.
For the womenâ€™s cross country team, Alyssa Lowe, who made it to the State Cross Country Meet, won MVP. Anna Jackson was named Most Improved. Kristen Depalmo won the Team Before Self Award.
On the menâ€™s side, Lee Broome was named MVP, while Andrew Melton won the Team Before Self Award. Brett Knierim was Most Improved.
