R-Anell President Dennis Jones is expected to make a full recovery after a motorcycle accident on Saturday, Nov. 6.
Jones, a resident of Mooresville, was traveling east on Mombo Road in Iredell County when the accident occurred at 2:25 p.m.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, speed was the cause of the crash. Jones ran off to the right into a curve.
He was traveling 55 miles an hour in a 45 mph zone, officials said. He appeared to have missed the curve, crossed a small ditch, slid down on his side into a yard and overturned several times.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Jones was taken to Carolina’s Medical Center for treatment of injuries which included head trauma, a broken leg and a burned hand, according to Andy Miller, general manager of R-Anell Homes.
“He has made excellent progress and has been moved from the hospital’s intensive care unit to Progressive Care,†Miller said.
There is no indication as to when Jones will return to work.
R-Anell Homes is a privately owned company with 350 employees. The company operates two manufacturing facilities in Denver and Cherryville, North Carolina.
