Top Ten Wolves’ football games
In celebration of Lincolnton High School’s centennial, the Times-News is putting together a list of the top 10 Lincolnton High football games of all time.
There have been many memorable games throughout the Wolves’ long gridiron history, and we would like your help in compiling a list of the greatest ever.
We are asking that fans select their three favorite games, and from that list, we will compile the top 10 of all time.
For example, a list might look something like this: 1993 state championship win over Burlington Cummings, 2001 playoff win over Shelby to break a 35-year drought against the Golden Lions, 1967 playoff win over Hickory on a field goal by Lester Reinhardt.
You may email your top three picks to Mike Powell or David Keever at these email addresses: Professor powell @ aol.com or keeverdavid @yahoo.com. For those without email, the list may be mailed to: Lincolnton Top 10, PO 1953, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
We will need your entries no later than the date for the regular season finale against East Rutherford on Nov. 5.
