LAKE NORMAN ORCHESTRA
The Lake Norman Orchestra will be performing in concert on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.. The concert will be at Saint Therese Catholic Church,
217 Brawley School Road in Mooresville. The NormanAirs Stage Band will be
performing jazz, blues, and swing selections. This is an upbeat “Tribute to America.â€ Tickets are $5.00 and can

Four local teams will compete in the donkey basketball tournament at North Lincoln High School at 7 p.m. Saturday Oct. 23. Tickets are $5 for adults and students and $8 for adults and students at the door. All proceeds will go to the Physical Education Department.
â€œALL ABOUT YOUâ€ LUNCHEON
The event, entitled â€œAll About You,â€ is an effort to remind women of the importance of taking care of themselves and their wellbeing. The luncheon will take place on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Verdict Ridge Country Club Dining Hall. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with guest speaker, Julie McAteer, a young breast cancer survivor, and conclude with a panel of Lincoln Medical Center physicians fielding questions from the female audience anonymously provided at registration. R-Anell Homes, will hold its annual company Health Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The health fair features blood pressure and diabetes checks, a stop smoking program, fitness and wellness updates and information from local health care providers and fitness experts and other items aimed at specific health issues. The Lincolnton/Lincoln County Parks and Recreation will have a pre-Halloween party at the East Lincoln Community Center, Friday Oct. 29. A haunted civil war battlefield will be open to the public Oct. 29-30 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Historic Latta Plantation, Huntersville.
