Riding for Research

Stephen Spake recently rode 150 miles in the National Multiple Sclerosis Bikeathon. He participated in the event to honor his grandmother, Clarabel Heavner, who has had multiple sclerosis for more than 30 years. He raised over $3,500 for research of the disease. Spake was born and raised in the Howards Creek community. He graduated from West Lincoln High School in 1996 and currently lives in Charlotte with his wife, Tabatha. Contributed Photo
