Advance tickets for West/Lincolnton
Advance tickets for the West Lincoln/Lincolnton game will be on sale this week at Lincolnton High, West Lincoln High, Byrd`s Sundries and Lincoln
West Lincoln will have 1000 tickets for the game.
There will also be a tailgate party from 4-7 p.m. Tickets for the party are $10 each. The profit will be split between the two schools.
Lincoln Daredevils
Lincoln Daredevils 9 & Under AAU/USSSA Tournament Baseball team is currently seeking 1 versatile player to complete their Fall 2004 season roster.
The Daredevils will participate in tournaments in the Charlotte metro area during the Fall season. Players can’t turn 10 before 8/1/05. Please contact Andy at 704-530-7377 if interested.

Donkey Basketball Game
The North Lincoln High School Physical Education department will be hosting a Donkey Basketball Game on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
Members of community organizations, student athletes, and coaches/faculty will be participating in the fun-filled game.
Free donkey rides for children 12 years old and under will be offered at halftime. Tickets for the event are $5 presale and $8 at the door. Advanced tickets will be sold at North Lincoln High School.

Carolina Cougars
The Carolina Cougars’ girls’ basketball team is holding 11 and 12 year old tryouts.
Players that make the team will have to pay nothing to participate due to previous fund-raising efforts.
No player can turn 13 years old previous to Jan. 1. For more information, contact Buddy Robinson at 704-922-2922.

Helping Hands softball tournament
The second annual Helping Hands Softball Tournament will be held Sept. 24 and 25th at Betty G. Ross Park and City Park.
All proceeds will benefit the Helping Hands Clinic of Lincolnton.
Prizes for the winning teams will include team batting gloves, duffle bags, coolers and team trophies.
The home run derby champion will be awarded a color TV. Interested teams should contact 704-735-0191 for more information.

Youth soccer
Registration for Youth Soccer is underway at the Lincoln County Family YMCA.
Financial Assistance Available. Volunteer Coaches needed. All Volunteers must submit a background check.
The Registration deadline is Sept.22nd. Games will begin on Oct. 2nd. Call 704-748-9311 for more information.
