CHERRYVILLE â€” A 12-year-old child reported missing from school at 10 a.m. on Monday morning, was found unharmed on Tuesday.
Cherryville police were notified on Monday that the boy was missing from John Chavis Middle School. The five-foot, 92-pound boy had had last been seen leaving the school.
Authorities set up a search for the student, and alerted citizens to be on the look out for a boy in a orange T-shirt and blue jean shorts. Emergency Management set up an official search operation around midnight Monday.
He was reported seen as far west as Buffalo Creek and Hwy 150 in Cleveland County.
After searching throughout the night, the subject was located near his residence on Tuesday morning. He was found unharmed and is undergoing a medical evaluation.
