Diners asked to turn over to the Sports Page

A sports bar proclaiming a family atmosphere is coming to Denver.
Sports Page Food & Spirits is planned to open in Waterside Crossing Shopping Plaza by Sept. 1.
Owner Michael Bryant said bringing the restaurant to Denver has been an option for a long time.
“I live in Denver and I have seen the area grow,” Bryant said. “It is really booming.”
The sports bar will be the second of its kind. Bryant already owns a Sports Page Food & Spirits located in Charlotte on N.C. 16. The family-owned business has been functioning since 1987.
The food at Sports Page ranges from appetizers to sandwiches and from main dinners to fresh fish.
On Sunday, lunch is catered to the church crowd, offering country specials from pork chops to barbeque.
The restaurant will have one side for family dining with booths and the other side will be for the bar.
A take-out menu will also be available.
Televisions showing sports programming will be located throughout the restaurant. There will also be sports-related pictures on the walls.
Bryant said bringing the sports bar to Waterside Crossing Shopping Plaza will be a benefit.
“I think it will be good and help these businesses,” he said. “Everyone will work together.”
The hours of the restaurant will be from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday. The bar will be open until midnight during the week and 1 a.m. on the weekends.by Amy Wadsworth
