NL open gym
North Lincoln is having an Open gym for all boys interested in playing basketball. Anyone interested is invited whether they played last year or not.
The Open gym will be on June 15 and 22 as well as July 6 and 13 from 6 – 8 pm.

Century 21 Hecht Realty, along with Iredell County Recreation Department, Dick`s Sporting Goods and Lakeshore Youth Athletic Association, are sponsoring a home run derby for local softball and baseball players.
The first annual Lake Norman Area Home Run Derby will be held on Saturday, June 19th, at the Stumpy Creek Park off Perth Road in Mooresville.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Lakeshore Youth Athletic Association baseball/softball fields building fund.
The event will offer 22 different age-based divisions for players of all ages. Boys` baseball and girls` softball will be offered for 8 and under, 9,10,11,12,13-14 (middle school), 15-16 (junior varsity), 17-18 (varsity), 19-40 (adult), and over 40.
Men`s softball will be offered in adult ($100 to winner) and over 40.
Qualifying rounds will begin at 9 AM Saturday morning and finish at 2 PM. The top four hitters from the qualifying rounds will advance to the final round.
The final round for the top five is scheduled to begin at 4 PM.
High school players playing Legion Baseball will be allowed to hit final rounds earlier, if necessary, due to Saturday night Legion games.
The only bat requirement is no bat over 2 1/4 inch for 12 and under contestants. Balls will be provided and of the same type for all contestants in each age group.
Winners and runner-ups will receive trophies, t-shirts, and prizes. The men`s adult softball winner will receive $100.00.
Divisions with less than ten entries will be combined with the closest age group. T-shirts will also be available, on a first come basis, at Saturday`s registration.
The registration cost is $10.00 per contestant. Second chance round registration is also $10.00. Full concessions will be available.
