Recreation basketball camp
The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Parks and Recreation Department is now taking registration for a summer basketball camp for boys and girls ages 8-15.
Camp dates are June 21-25 from 9:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. The cost of the camp is $35 which includes a T-shirt. Camp director is Lawerence Carter. For more information, contact the recreation office at 704-735-2671.

Gaston-Lincoln Western golf tourney
The Gaston-Lincoln Western Club will hold its seventh annual golf tournament Friday June 11th at Lincoln Country Club.
The Gaston-Lincoln Club has awarded over $10,000 in scholarships in the past seven years. Their hope is to start an endowed scholarship.
The tournament will be a 1 p.m. shotgun start in modified captain’s choice format. The entry fee is $200 per team. For more information, call Betty Allen at 704-735-1740 or Berry Mauney at 704-472-5506.

LHS volleyball camp
There will be a volleyball camp at Lincolnton High School on June 14, 15 and 16.
The camp is open to middle school and high school athletes and will teach basic fundamentals.
The camp will run from 8:30 a.m.- noon with registration taking place on the 14th from 8-8:30 a.m.
Athletes must have a physical to participate. For more information contact Coach Richardson at 704-735-4874.

Boger City football
Boger City and Pumpkin Center football sign ups will be held every Saturday throughout the month of the June.
The location for the sign ups will be Boger City Ballfield or Pumpkin Center Elementary from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

First Baptist basketball camp
The basketball camp is scheduled for June 28th-July 1st. It will be for 1st-5th graders and will run from 2-5 p.m. daily.
There will be a separate session for Middle School through 10th graders which will run from 9 a.m.-noon daily.
There will be a $40 registration fee. The camp will be held at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Lenior-Rhyne baseball camp
The Lenoir-Rhyne baseball camp will be held at two locations this year.
The scheduled camps are as follows: June 7-10, overall skills camp for ages 8-12, cost is $140 and will last from 9 a.m.- 4p.m., site is Lenoir-Rhyne.
June 7-10, 9 a.m. – noon, ages 6-8, cost is $70, site is Lenoir-Rhyne.
June 14-17, overall skills camp, ages 6-15, cost is $75, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m., site is North Wilkesboro.
June 21-24, pitchers and catchers camp, cost is $70, ages 9-17 (rising seniors welcomed), 9 a.m.- noon.
June 21-24, hitters camp, cost is $70, ages 9-17 (rising seniors welcomed), 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Campers can attend the pitchers and catchers camp along with the hitters camp scheduled to be held June 21-24 for $140.

Mustang camp
Due to scheduling conflicts with mandatory teacher workdays, the first week of the Mustang Basketball Camp was moved.
The first week was moved from May 31st-June 3rd to be held July 12th-15th. The second week will be June 7th-10th. Both weeks will be held at East Lincoln High School.
Any boy that is in the rising third grade through rising 10th graders are eligible.
Rising 7th-10th graders will go from 8:30 a.m.-noon. While rising 3rd-6th graders will go from 1-4 p.m.
The cost of the camp is $55 prior to the opening date. $65 is the cost on June 7th or July 12th.
Applications can be picked up at EL High or you can request an application from the school at 704-483-5681.
Campers can attend both weeks for $90, with a $10 discount for families with two children enrolled.
