Eagles hand out annual sports awards

Justin Reid and Lauren Lord were named the Male Athlete and Female Athlete of the Year at last Friday’s sports ceremony at Lincoln Charter High School.
Men’s soccer MVP was Casey Hullette, while the Rookie of the Year went to Ben Hullette. The Eagle Award Recipient was Lance Tuno. Allen Tuno was named Most Improved.
In ladies’ volleyball Jordan Rayfield garnered MVP honors. Rookie of the Year went to Sara Allred, while Most Improved went to Lauren Lord. Kendra Friday received the Eagle Award.
Ladies’ basketball MVP was Loren Machado, while the Rookie of the Year went to Bethany Blount. Kendra Friday received the Eagle Award. Judith Canipe was named Most Improved.
Men’s basketball MVP was Justin Reid, while David Connell took home Rookie of the Year. Christian Smith was the Most Improved. Greg Smith received the Eagle Award.
In golf, MVP and Eagle Awards went to Justin Reid, while Joe Stewart was named Most Improved. Rookie of the Year honors went to Christian Smith.
Ladies’ softball MVP went to Lauren Lord, while the Rookie of the Year went to Alex Tabor. Kaycee Woodliff was named Most Improved.
The Talon Award on the male side went to Greg Smith. On the female side it went to Sara Allred.
Heart Awards went to Casey Hullette on the male side. On the female side, Emily Abernathy was named.
The Male Scholar Athlete Award went Daniel Valverde. On the female side, Judith Canipe was the recipient.
This was Lincoln Charter School’s third annual sports ceremony. At the ceremony, fall sports, winter sports and spring sports were honored.by John Mark Brooks
