Lincoln school bus involved in wreck

A Lincoln County school bus full of children was involved in a wreck Monday afternoon, but no one was seriously hurt, troopers said.
The bus, coming from Pumpkin Center Elementary School, was being driven by Joy Davis of Lincolnton, according to Trooper B.Y. Hill with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Davis was driving the bus east on N.C. 150 at about 3:16 p.m., Hill said.
Ebbie Ellis, driving a white Mazda pick-up truck west on N.C. 150, crossed the center line, Hill said.
Davis ran off the right side of the road and was sideswiped by Ellis’ truck, he said.
Of 47 children on the bus, just one complained of injuries, Hill said. She was checked out by emergency crews on the scene but was not transported to the hospital. Neither driver was injured.Hill said Ellis was charged with driving left of center.
