In the first inning, Kayleigh Brown, running for Nicole Baxter, scored for the Knights on an error. Calah Bynum added one more for the Knights in the second when she also scored on an error.
East Lincolnâ€™s Brooke Michaels scored in the third on a wild pitch. No further scoring was allowed by either defense.
Mustangsâ€™ pitcher Nicole Hall scattered six hits over the first five innings, then held the Knights to no hits in the sixth.
Knightsâ€™ pitcher Nicole Baxter allowed five hits in seven innings, while striking out eight.
The Mustangs stranded nine runners, and the Knights stranded 11.
Brooke Michaels led the Mustangs with offense, going 3-for-3, plus one walk.
Offensively, the Knights contributed with six different players getting hits. Defensively, North Lincoln played an error-free ballgame.
