The Easter Bunny will soon be hopping its way to Denver — to help the animals of course.
On his visit, he will be available for pictures. Money raised from sell of the pictures goes to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
Children of all ages will want to pay him a visit at Coffee & More on Saturday, April 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Photos are $5.
Ralph Harkey with Lake Norman Productions, a sponsor for the event, said it is for a good cause.
“We are doing it because we are animal lovers,†he said.
Harkey said it is also an attempt to try and get some events happening in the community.
“This event has multiple results,†he said. “It is helping Coffee & More and the humane society.â€
Lahona Hunt, owner at Coffee & More, is looking forward to having the Easter Bunny drop in.
“I have already had some customers who have seen the fliers who said they are definitely going to bring their children,†Hunt said.
Gwen Carpenter, who works at the Lincoln County Humane Society, said she was thankful to the sponsors who are wanting to help the animals.
“We are always so tickled when someone wants to help,†she said. “We get so little help since we are all volunteers.â€
Carpenter said that when the Humane Society was approached with the idea of the Easter Bunny event, they immediately thought it was a great idea.
“We always do pictures with Santa at PetSmart every year,†she said. “But we never thought of the Easter Bunny.â€
Sponsors for the event are Lake Norman Productions, Coffee & More and Denver Furniture Company.
