The 11th annual Rotary Auction will be held April 1, 2 and 3 at the Lincoln County Citizens Center starting at 6 p.m.
Members of Lincoln County’s three Rotary Clubs are now soliciting donations.
Proceeds from the auction will provide low interest student loans to Lincoln County residents to further their education.
As in years past, Charter Communications Cable Television will carry this auction live from the Citizens Center. Anyone may participate by phoning in during the live telecast or coming to the Citizens Center for a first-hand look at the items.
The Rotary Cafй is open at the Citizens Center from 5:30 until 9 all three nights. Local restaurants will offer dinner and desserts. Prices are $6 in advance and $7 at the door. Tickets may be purchased in advance from Rotarians.
In the next few weeks many area businesses or individuals will be contacted by a Rotary Club member for donations.
Any item that is worth $50 or more will be auctioned live. Persons or businesses with items to donate may contact Gaye Howard at 704-732-0867.
The loans made from the auction fund amount to $2,000 each and are available to any Lincoln County student who has achieved a “C†average and graduates from a high school successfully and currently lives in Lincoln County.
They require a student to pay the interest in semi-annual installments and the full note six months after graduation Arrangements may be made to set up a 60-month payment plan.
